Pakistan Bureau of Statistics reports increase in industrial production in July 2025

The Pakistan Bureau of Statistics said on Tuesday that production by major industries increased on monthly and annual basis in the first month of the new financial year.

In its latest report on production by major industries, the bureau said that production by major industries increased by 8.99% on annual basis in July 2025. In July 2025, production by major industries increased by 2.60% on monthly basis.

In July, production by furniture sector increased by 86.79% on annual basis. In July, production by automobiles sector increased by 57.80% on annual basis. In July, production by garments sector increased by 24.79%. In July, production by cement sector increased by 18.75%.

In July, production of petroleum products increased by 13.18%. The food sector production increased by 6.63 percent year-on-year in July. Production of beverages, chemicals, machinery and equipment decreased year-on-year in July, the bureau added.
