The Soyam of renowned philanthropist and wife of Abdul Sattar Edhi Bilquis Bano Edhi was held on Sunday at Karachi’s New Memon Masjid, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Recitation of Quran and (Fateha) prayers were offered for Bilquis' departed soul on the occasion.

The Soyam was attended by people from different walks of life. Faisal Edhi, son of Bilquis Edhi has appealed to the people to remember her in prayers.

Bilquis Edhi was also responsible for the service of humanity, especially for the upbringing of newborns and orphans.

She cared for the helpless like her own real children. The services of Bilqius Edhi for the welfare of women and children cannot be forgotten.
