Online attendance of teachers, students made mandatory in Punjab govt schools
Online registration of attendance of students and teachers has been made mandatory in government schools across Punjab, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
Students and teachers who do not register their attendance online will be considered absent.
Strict action will be taken against those who do not update data on the school information system.
The Punjab Education Department has ordered all CEOs to ensure 100 percent data update.
Secretary Education expressed concern over non-timely uploading of student admissions and attendance records.
Complete attendance records of students and teachers made mandatory to upload on SES.
Deadline for updating complete data on SES issued by April 20.
Action will be taken against those who provide incorrect or incomplete data under the PEDA Act
If errors are found during the visits of monitoring teams, head teachers will also be responsible.
