Jamiat Ahl-e-Hadith chief Allama Sajid Mir called on PML-N Vice-President Maryam Nawaz in Raiwind on Sunday. 

On this occasion, Mir inquired after Maryam and condemned the attack on her vehicle outside the NAB office in Lahore earlier this week. The two sides also discussed the prevailing political situation in the country. Maryam briefed Mir about the health of her father, Nawaz Sharif, and said that his surgery was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. 

Talking to the media later, Mir said that Maryam’s car was targeted. He said that Maryam’s statements caused a lot of trouble to the government. He called for an independent investigation into the attack on Maryam’s vehicle. 

Maryam’s husband Captain Safdar, Allama Ibtisam Elahi Zaheer, Hafiz Abdul Karim, Dr Abdul Ghafoor, Maulana Abdur Rashid Hijazi and others were also present on this occasion.
