Akbar S. Babar, the petitioner in PTI foreign funding case, on Wednesday filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) in which he prayed to the court to also make him a party to the appeal filed by the PTI against the Election Commission of Pakistan’s (ECP) ruling in the party’s foreign funding case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Later talking to the media, Babar said that a larger bench of the IHC had been constituted to hear the PTI’s appeal, but he had not been made a party to that. “Efforts are being made to keep me out of the case,” he regretted.
IHC’s larger bench will start hearing the PTI’s appeal against the election commission’s ruling tomorrow (August 18, 2022).
