Federal Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has said Imran Khan and his party, the PTI are trying to divert the attention of the nation from the Election Commission’s decision in a foreign funding case.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the ruling Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) central leader addressed a press conference in Islamabad on Wednesday.
He said PTI wants to divert the attention of the nation from the decision of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) against its foreign funding. He said they will take action on the foreign funding case as per the law.
Khawaja Asif said Imran Khan used funds of charity collected for Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital Lahore for his politics.
The federal minister criticized the role of PTI workers and social media handlers in the matter of the Lasbela tragedy and said as many as 529 Pakistani and 18 Indian accounts were involved in the negative propaganda.
After tracing 18 foreign accounts, it has been proved now that Indians were also helping PTI in its anti-military propaganda campaign on social media, he said.
PML-N leader Khawaja Asif said his government will not set any score by taking any revenge on Imran Khan or his party as PTI Chairman is already mentally upset.
