JI chief visits flood-hit areas in Buner, reviews rescue operation
Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Emir Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman on Sunday visited flood hit aras of Buner in district Malakand and met with the victims to express solidarity with them over colossal losses, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
Hafiz Naeem expressed grief and sorrow over the loss of life and property, assuring victims of full support. He said the Al-Khidmat Foundation had immediately launched rescue and relief operations in the area.
He emphasized that it was the responsibility of the federal and provincial governments to take swift action in relief operations. He also stressed the immediate restoration of communication and power systems in the affected areas.
During the rescue operation, Al-Khidmat volunteer Zahoor Ahmed lost his life while serving the victims, Hafiz Naeem added. The JI chief reiterated that Jamaat-e-Islami would continue to support the rehabilitation of flood victims.
