Kundi says flood victims will be supported by federal govt

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has said that flood victims will be provided all out support by the federal government, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel. Addressing a public meeting in Mansehra, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s governor said a natural disaster in the city had cost 300 people. 

He vowed that the government would support the families hit by the flood. He paid tribute to the martyrs who had sacrificed their lives in a helicopter crash while saving others. 

He stressed the need for everyone to work together in difficult times. He said during floods in Sindh, 21 lakh houses were being built by the Sindh government. He further remarked that the claims of the PTI government against corruption were being rejected. 

The governor emphasized that peace, security, and development were the goals for the province. He stated that if India could be defeated in four days, terrorists too could be overcome quickly. He recalled that Zulfikar Ali Bhutto had given Pakistan the atomic bomb while Benazir Bhutto had provided missile technology. Kundi paid tribute to the media for playing a responsible role during the crisis and also praised the Pakistan Army for its bravery.

He demanded that local people should be given employment on the Mansehra Ski Kinari Dam and Balakot Hydro Projects. He also warned that they would not be allowed to be exploited. On the occasion, Kundi welcomed Ahmed Hussain Shah in PPP.
