‘Stop fooling public’: Netizens crash Adnan Siddiqui’s Welcome to Punjab promo
Netizens have come down hard on Welcome to Punjab, mocking it as a ‘flop’ venture despite veteran actor Adnan Siddiqui’s call for people to throng theatres.
The seasoned star took to social media, urging fans to support the ‘family’ entertainer, but many users weren’t buying the hype, roasting both the film and its over-the-top promotion.
Netizens criticise the Welcome to Punjab film, with veteran actor Adnan Siddiqui urging them to throng theatres to watch, as many users mock the project as a ‘produced-to-flop’ venture.
The actor, known for his decades-long contribution to television and film, recently took to his social platforms, urging his fans to head to cinemas for the family entertainer.
“It’s time to head to the cinemas! Welcome To Punjab is now playing nationwide! Adnan Siddiqui has sent out the invitation; it’s time for you to answer the call,” read a post shared by Lollywood Galaxy, amplifying Siddiqui’s message.
However, the promotional push seems to have triggered a wave of sarcastic responses from netizens. One user bluntly commented: “I feel 90’s vibes from this C grade movie.” Another wrote: “So much money… so much hard work… so much time spent on a movie that everyone already knew would flop… why?? Welcome to Punjab…”
Some users also ridiculed the film’s portrayal of Punjab, questioning its geographical accuracy. “First India gave Lahore a sea, and now in this movie’s version of Punjab you’ll see mountains and snow,” one commentator joked.

Another critic suggested the movie was being overhyped and not worth the ticket: “Better watch it with your own family, and stop trying to fool the public.”
While many dismissed the film outright, others pointed out the irony in audience preferences. One netizen remarked: “At least those people should definitely go and watch it who had a problem saying ‘Mahira Khan and Humayun Saeed are too old now to be hero and heroine’. So now go and watch.”
Another jab added: “The ones who made it should themselves go with their families and witness this so-called legendary performance.”
Previously, the movie's romantic song became the subject of savage sarcasm online.
Social media users felt Aadi Khan looked too young to pull off the romantic vibes convincingly.
One user sarcastically compared the young cast to college kids bunking classes for 'extracurricular activities'.

The cringe factor was strong enough to inspire harsh verdicts like, “Aadi is giving more girlish vibe than the girl herself.”
Some viewers lashed out at Galaxylollywood for calling the song “soulful,” while others mocked the cheesy promo lines. The roast extended beyond just the actors. Musical comparisons were not kind either.
