December 17, 2021 07:28 PM

Inflation has made the life of the poor more difficult as now the rates of salt have been increased up to Rs13 per kilogram and prices reached Rs30 to Rs43 per kg.

The 24News HD TV channel reported on Friday that companies have hiked the prices of their branded salt while the rates of exposed salt have also been increased.

The channel report said that commonly available salt has now become rare as the exposed salt was being sold at Rs30 to Rs35 per kg in the local market.

Under the present government, inflation is rising sharply with each passing day and the prices of branded salt have gone beyond the purchasing power of the people.

A packet of 800 grams of branded salt from different companies has been priced at Rs30-35.
