Minister orders reduction in fares following cut in diesel prices

Punjab Provincial Minister for Transport and Mass Transit Bilal Akbar Khan has directed a reduction in public transport fares following a decrease in diesel prices, aimed at providing immediate relief to commuters, 24NewsHD TV reported on Wednesday. 

According to official sources, the provincial minister instructed concerned officers to issue revised fare lists in line with the latest prices of petroleum products.

He also ordered the formation of inspection teams across all districts to ensure the implementation of reduced transport fares.

Bilal Akbar Khan further directed authorities to take strict action against transporters found charging excessive fares.
