Saba Rashid becomes Pakistan’s first martial arts Guinness record holder
She sets global record in Nunchaku feat: Guinness World Records confirms figure-eight nunchaku achievement: Second global record follows record-breaking elbow strike performance
Saba Rashid, wife of Guinness World Record holder Rashid Naseem, has become Pakistan’s first martial arts athlete to set a global record in the nunchaku category, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday.
The record, officially recognised by Guinness World Records, saw her perform a figure of eight with nunchaku 138 times in one minute, surpassing the previous benchmark of 120.
Saba Rashid previously defeated India’s Kiran Uniyal, who holds the record for the most Guinness World Records in India.
The achievement has been officially verified by Guinness under a new category, with confirmation received via email.
In addition to her nunchaku feat, Saba Rashid holds a national record in the elbow strike category, executing 680 strikes in three minutes and again surpassing Kiran Uniyal.
This marks her second global record, further cementing her position as one of Pakistan’s leading martial arts athletes.
Saba Rashid comes from a family of record breakers. Her husband, Rashid Naseem, is Pakistan’s most prolific Guinness World Record holder, while their daughter has set eight records in the female category.
Remarkably, their son achieved a Guinness World Record for Pakistan at the age of six.
Rashid Naseem’s father has also set multiple Guinness World Records for the country.
The family’s achievements highlight a growing legacy of martial arts excellence and global recognition for Pakistan.
