Two commodores of the Pakistan Navy (PN) have been promoted to the rank of Rear Admiral, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

According to a spokesperson of Pakistan Navy, Rear Admiral Khyber Zaman and Rear Admiral Shafqat Hussain Akhtar were among those promoted.

Both the promoted officers are graduates of Pakistan Navy War College Lahore and National Defense University, Islamabad.

The officers have held several important positions of command and staff in the Pakistan Navy.
