CM Maryam okays extension in market timings during Ramazan

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz approved an extension in business timings of markets and shopping centres across the province during the holy month of Ramazan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

The Chief Minister on Tuesday approved the extension in timings of markets on an application submitted by the business community, the chain stores and restaurants association.

Adviser to Punjab Chief Minister Zeeshan Malik shared the copies of the notification on his X account.

All the business centers are exempted to follow market timings during the holy month of Ramzan.

The special concession granted to shops, shopping malls, supermarkets, chain stores, and restaurants.

The concession was granted vide Punjab Shops and Establishment Ordinance 1969. The Labour and Human Resource Department also issued a notification in this regard.

The Director-General of Labour Welfare and the deputy commissioners are asked to ensure implementation of these directives.

Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry President and other office-bearers of the business organizations were also notified about the decision.

This concession aims to facilitate the people during the holy month of Ramzanul Mubarak.
