Two people are burnt in a fire that broke out in the OMI Hospital in Garden, Karachi on Monday evening.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, one of the burnt men died while the other is in critical condition.

 The fire was extinguished due to sparks and explosions during welding in the hospital located at the MA Jinnah Road.

According to rescue officials, three fire brigade vehicles have reached the hospital without any delay and succeeded to control the fire.

While the hospital administration said efforts were made to control the fire before fire brigade officials arrived.

A large contingent of police and Rangers arrived at the scene and started an investigation into the incident.
