Crisis in Sindh bureaucracy refuses to die down as after the dearth of grade-17 and grade-22 officers, now it has emerged that around 72 posts of grade-19 officers are lying vacant in the province, thus seriously affecting the administrative tasks, reporting 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

According to the details which 24News has managed to obtain, these posts have been lying vacant for quite some time now.

The post of Deputy Commissioner Karachi-East has been lying vacant since June 23, 2021. Similarly, the post of additional commissioner-I, Larkana is also vacant.

The post of Secretary Settlement and Survey Board has been lying vacant since December 3, 2019; the post of director general Sindh Local Government Commission is vacant for a long time now; the post of director Governor Secretariat is also without an officer for a long time now; the seat of Director Economic Reform Unit is also vacant for quite some time now; the post of additional secretary University Board since April 9, 2019; the post of additional secretary Environment since September 9, 2019; the seat of secretary Sindh Privatization Commission since October 25, 2019; the post of director Sindh Higher Education Commission since November 1, 2019; the seat of additional secretary, Law since August 21, 2020; the seat of managing director Sindh Small Industries since May 21, 2020; the post of director Sports since July 16, 2020; the post of additional secretary Information since August 4, 2020; the post of additional secretary Health since January 11, 2021; the seat of additional secretary Excise since August 18, 2021; the seat of additional secretary Energy Sindh since September 15, 2020; the post of director Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Human Resource Research since September 22, 2020; the post of additional secretary Universities Board since December 21, 2020; the seat of director Archives, Culture, Tourism since October 15, 2020; the post of additional secretary School Education since November 9, 2020, the seat of additional secretary Minority Affairs since November 2, 2020; the post of director general Sindh Coal Authority since December 12, 2020; the post of inspector general Registration Board of Revenue since January 14, 2021; the seat of director Human Rights since January 21, 2021; the seat of additional secretary Law since February 8, 2021; the post of additional secretary Finance since February 8, 2021; the post of additional secretary Public Health Engineering since February 8, 2021; the seat of additional secretary Universities Board since February 18, 2021; the post of cane commissioner Sindh since March 8, 2021; the seat of additional secretary College Education since May 4, 2021; the post of additional secretary Local Bodies since May 21, 2021, the post of additional secretary Land Utilization Board of Revenue since June 3, 2021, and the seat of additional director Women Development has been lying vacant since June 30, 2021.
