Newly-wed couple prefers casting vote to their walima in Lodhran

A newly-wed couple of Lodhran left their walima ceremony and reached a polling station to cast their vote in the by-election of Punjab on Sunday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

It was learnt that the couple had reached the polling station in full wedding dress, leaving the people there at the polling stations astonished.

Speaking on the occasion, bridegroom Zaman Khan said that the vote was a trust and casting vote to a right person was an utmost responsibility.

He said they preferred to vote first and then they will attend their walima ceremony.

Bride Fauzia said that she considered it necessary to cast her vote for the bright future of children.

“I hope that the preferred candidates will be elected and give hospitals, schools and roads to the area,” she added.
