Body of 17-year-old boy recovered after 21-day
The body of a 17-year-old boy who drowned in Swat River near Barikot was recovered after 21 days, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel on Thursday.
According to rescue officials, the deceased was identified as Abdullah, resident of Sialkot. After confirmation by family members, the body was sent to Daska, Sialkot, for burial. The spokesperson said that a continuous search operation had been underway in the Swat River since the day of the incident. It may be recalled that on June 27, a tragic incident occurred in the Swat River where 17 individuals drowned, four people were rescued, and 12 bodies were recovered.
The relatives said the rescue teams came late, and their loved ones were stuck on a mound while the strong floodwater took people away in front of their eyes.
