FBR issues warning to filers for not submitting income tax returns on time
The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has issued a stern warning to those who do not submit income tax returns on time for the fiscal year 2025, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
In this regard, regular digital monitoring has been started to check the differences in income and lifestyle in the returns of taxpayers.
According to sources in FBR, low tax payers to be targeted despite lavish lifestyle and FBR starts collecting data on lavish lifestyle of businessmen.
Luxury cars, bungalows and all records of foreign trips are also under analysis.
FBR will take strict action on the discrepancy between income and lifestyle in returns.
Data on bank accounts, property and foreign assets of low tax payers will also be sought.
Expanding the tax net and preventing tax evasion is top priority, authorities of FBR said.
All actions will be based on digital monitoring and data analytics.
