The Balochistan Bar Council has raised objections to the nomination of Advocate Saleem Lashari as additional judge in the Balochistan High Court, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Vice Chairman Balochistan Bar Council Jarin Dashti has sent complaints to the Pakistan Bar Council, Chief Justice Supreme Court and Chief Justice Constitutional Court in this regard.

Jarin Dashti said in an informal conversation that there is an objection to making Salim Lashari a candidate for the post of judge of Balochistan High Court.

Jarin Dashti said Salim Lashari obtained a law licence while in government service. He claimed Salim Lashari obtained a law licence through forgery and a forger cannot be a candidate for the post of judge.

Salim Lashari's nomination was not on merit, Jarin Dashti said.
