Dr Tahirul Qadri criticizes govt for not talking about Model Town incident
Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri has criticized the government for not talking about the martyrs of Model Town incident, reported 24News HD TV channel.
He was addressing the protesters at Nadra Mega Center, Karachi via video link from Canada. PAT held protests on Thursday across the country in connection with the anniversary of the Model Town incident.
Dr Qadri said that 280 persons had recorded their statements on the incident. He said that all the proofs and documents were with the joint investigation team (JIT). He further said that the Supreme Court had asked for three months to give the verdict in the case but 16 months had passed since then. He said justice to the 14 martyrs had been delayed on the application of one police personnel.
