Newlywed love couple murdered in Lahore house

In a deeply tragic and troubling incident which took place at Noor Park Housing Scheme, Purana Kahna in Lahore on Tuesday, a love-marriage couple was brutally murdered in their own dwelling by unknown assailants, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The assassins allegedly broke into the house, eventually ending up committing a homicide of the couple, who are believed to have come together in a love marriage recently.

Although, the identities of both the deceased have not yet been confirmed, the initial reports suggested that both probably belonged to the age group of 20-25.

It is said that the police made it to the residence shortly after the crime was reported. They were efficient in securing the area and gathering the forensic evidence, which later paved the way for opening of formal investigation.

Many presume that the incident is possibly linked with “honour killing’, an inhumane form of murder taking place under the guise of honour and dignity, in which a person is slain on the basis of his/her deemed immoral action.

With the residents of the area expressing shock and frustration over the incident, the investigation was still ongoing and the police have vowed to bring actual culprits to account.
