Former KP chief minister and PTI leader Ali Amin Gandapur said on Wednesday that since the budget for the next financial year had still not been passed by the parliament, it was imperative that an input from former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan was taken, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.

Speaking to reporters outside a sessions court in Islamabad, he said that the country was presently confronting different challenges.

He said it was the duty of the party’s office-bearers to bring thousands of people outside the Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi on Tuesday.

He dispelled the impression that there were divisions in the PTI.

The ex-CM said that he had followed a principle throughout his life, and that was to speak his mind and not to hide his feelings. “Those who hold meetings secretly are cowards,” Gandapur added.

He lamented that there was lawlessness in the country. “Treatment facilities have not been provided to Imran Khan.”

He said there were more cases registered against him than the PTI founder. “When I was the chief minister, I would hold meetings on the challenges confronting my province,” he added.

Gandapur stressed the need for bridging the gap between the people and the state institutions.

Earlier, the sessions court cancelled non-bailable arrest warrants issued for Gandapur in the audio leaks case and adjourned the hearing until July 15.
