Per-tola gold falls in Pakistan as global prices edge lower
Gold prices recorded a slight decline in both international and domestic markets on Wednesday, following a sharp rally earlier this week, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday.
According to the report, the international price of gold fell by $2 per ounce to $4,328, compared with the previous level of $4,330 per ounce.
The modest drop was reflected in Pakistan’s bullion market, where the price of 24-carat gold per tola decreased by Rs200 to Rs455,236.
The price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold also edged lower, falling by Rs170 to Rs389,684.
In contrast, silver prices continued their upward trend in the local market. The price of silver per tola increased by Rs44 to reach Rs7,497.
The latest decline comes two days after gold prices registered a significant increase in Pakistan.
