Punjab is witnessing process of uniform development, says Marriyum Aurangzeb

Punjab Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb said that Punjab is witnessing a process of uniform development, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

Addressing the post-budget news conference with Finance Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, she said Pakistan has achieved immense successes at the diplomatic level. 

Marriyum Aurangzeb said Punjab has the largest share of federal grants.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz paid close attention to increasing the resources of the province, Marriyum Aurangzeb said.

She said provincial tax revenue is Rs519 billion.

Over 100,000 vacancies were eliminated by right sizing, Marriyum Aurangzeb said.

No cuts were made in the Punjab Development Program budget either, Marriyum Aurangzeb added.

She said we increased the tax base but no new taxes were imposed. 

Punjab has limited its expenses to a large extent, Marriyum Aurangzeb said.

She said Punjab's revenue increased from 426 billion to 820 billion.

870 schemes that had been running for many years were abolished, Marriyum Aurangzeb said.

She said no cuts were made in the budget of Punjab for health, education and cleanliness.
