The National Assembly (NA) secretariat has been directed to complete all preparations for a session of the House on March 21, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

Sources privy to the development reveal that a notification for convening the NA session on March 21 will be issued in a day or two.

The NA authorities said they were already busy preparing for the session that will be held in the assembly hall, and adding that work for the renovation and repair of the assembly hall was almost complete.

“In case of meeting on March 21, Fateha will be offered for late MNA Khayal Zaman and the session will be adjourned,” they said.

“There will be a public holiday from March 22 to 24 in connection with Pakistan Day and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) conference,” they added.

“The session will meet again on March 25 or 26. A detailed discussion will be held for two or three days before voting for the no-confidence motion. Voting will be open and based on division of the parliamentarians,” they stated.
