Woman dies after hit by speeding car in Karachi

A woman was killed while two others were seriously wounded in a traffic accident near Defence Morr Akhtar Colony Road in Karachi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
Police said that the deceased was identified as 27-year-old Iqra while the injured as Noreen and Ambreen.
Police informed that the dead as well as the injured were sisters.
Their family members said the women had gone to Gold Mark Market for shopping, while the police said the incident occurred after they were hit by a speeding car while crossing a road.
The Force further said that the hunt had been launched for the driver's arrest.
One killed in incident of firing in Shikarpur
One person was killed in an incident of firing in Daud Pota locality in the limits of Lakhedar police station.
The body was shifted to Civil Hospital, Shikarpur.
Police said the dead had been identified as Kamran Solangi.
Giving further details, the police said that the incident took place when a man opened fire during the sitting of some friends at an outhouse of Mehr community.
SHO Ghulam Mustafa said the police were trying to ascertain who killed Solangi and what his motives were. “We will register a case as soon as we receive the post-mortem report,” the SHO said.
The deceased’s brother, on the other hand, told the police that his brother’s friends called him to an outhouse where they killed him. “There are also torture marks on the face of my brother,” he added.
