Academy Awards saw an unexpected moment of drama before the red carpet as Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas reportedly had a tense arrival at the ceremony in Los Angeles.
According to footage shared by TMZ, the couple’s usual luxury vehicle was unable to reach the venue due to tight security arrangements around the Dolby Theatre. Event staff arranged for the pair to be transported in a golf cart so they could reach the ceremony entrance on time.
However, the ride briefly turned nerve-racking when the cart accelerated while navigating the crowded area. During a sharp turn, the vehicle jolted and tilted, with one wheel momentarily lifting off the ground, creating a tense moment before the driver quickly regained control.

Footage from the scene shows Chopra and Jonas holding on as the cart wobbled. The driver managed to stabilise the vehicle within seconds, allowing the couple to continue toward the entrance without further trouble.
A source told TMZ that the couple later laughed off the unexpected moment once they were safely inside the venue, calling it a “thrill ride before the glamour.”
Despite the chaotic start, Chopra stunned on the red carpet in a strapless white gown by Dior. The dress featured a ruched midsection and dramatic black-and-white tulle ruffles along a thigh-high slit.
She completed the look with an eye-catching diamond-and-emerald necklace from Bvlgari and classic Hollywood-inspired glam makeup.
Jonas opted for a sleek, understated look, letting Chopra take the fashion spotlight as the couple posed together on the red carpet.
