Ring Road Scam: Zulfi Bukhari resigns to face allegations

After being alleged in the Ring Road Scam, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Zulfi Bukhari on Monday conditionally resigned to clear his name in the probe.
According to 24NewsHD TV Channel, Zulfi Bukhari announced his resignation on Twitter saying, “My Prime Minister has always said that if a person has been named rightly or wrongly in any inquiry, he should cease to hold any public office till his name has been cleared of charges”.
He said, “Owing to the allegations in ongoing Ring Road inquiry, I want to set this example”. He also twitted that by resigning from his position until his name was cleared up of any allegations and the media’s obnoxious lies.

I’m here to stay in Pakistan and stand united with the Prime Minister and his vision. I sacrificed my life overseas to come and serve my country, I am ready to face any inquiry.
Endorsing a judicial inquiry, he also clarified that he had nothing to do with the Ring Road or any ongoing Real Estate project. He announced to face any inquiry to clarify his position before the nation.
In another tweet, Zulfi Bukhari also confirmed that he would stay in Pakistan standing united with the PM Imran Khan and his vision of Nia Pakistan. He added that he had sacrificed his life overseas to come and serve Pakistan.
Sayed Zulfikar Abbas Bukhari is a multi-millionaire businessman, politician, and film producer. He currently serves as Special Assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan in the capacity of a Minister of State in Cabinet.
