Private schools barred from selling books, stationery items in Sindh

The Sindh government in a big action against private schools put a ban on the sale of syllabus books and stationary inside the schools and stopped the private schools from forcing parents to buy stationery items from specific points, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
The circular, issued by the concerned department, reads, “Do not compel the parents/students to purchase uniform, school bags, books, copies/registers, practical journalist and other stationary items from the school. The lists of these items must be issued to the students at the time of the announcement of results/time of admission.”
The Sindh government also directed the schools only to collect the approved fee from the students and pass the approved list too on notice boards.
The Sindh government has warned private schools to comply with the orders otherwise strict action will be taken against violators.
