Shibli says plan to bring ‘unknown people’ to Zaman Park, ‘stage’ their arrest

PTI leader Shibli Faraz has alleged that the Punjab police have planned to bring in “unknown people” to Zaman Park and stage their arrest “to show we are harbouring delinquents”.

In a tweet, Faraz requested media persons to stay inside Imran Khan’s residence and witness the “raid” being planned by the police.

“We request all media to be present in Zaman park to witness the raid that is being planned for tonight by police (supposedly)The plan is to bring unknown people inside Zaman park & stage their arrest to show we are harbouring delinquents,” he wrote.

Earlier, during his address PTI chairman Imran Khan also asked police to bring the arrest warrants and conduct a search of his house in a civilized manner instead of raiding his house. He said it will be beneficial for him if police apprehended any terrorist from his residence as he is also the target of terrorists.

Earlier, Iftikhar Durrani in a tweet also invited media to Zaman Park.

“All Media is invited to Zaman Park. In their presence Punjab police ( not exceeding 4 people ) can come with search warrants and search in presence of Media. All possible cooperation shall be extended to Punjab Police,” he wrote.
