PM Shehbaz calls Nawaz Sharif to brief country's political, economic and defense situation

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif called on PML-N President Nawaz Sharif in Lahore at Jati Umrah on Saturday, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.

On the occasion, Nawaz Sharif congratulated Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on the success of Operation Banyan Marsus. PM Shehbaz Sharif briefed the party chief on the country's political, economic and defense situation.

Earlier,  PML-N President Nawaz Sharif on Saturday said that the valiant armed forces of Pakistan showed complete professionalism while defending the country. Speaking to Senator Irfan Siddiqui, who met him at his Raiwind residence near Lahore, Nawaz Sharif said the parliament too played a constructive and a positive role during confrontation with India.  

The former prime minister also praised the Pakistani media. He said that the fact that the entire nation forgot its differences and got united was a good omen.

“The people’s representatives, sitting in the parliament, raised the spirits of the armed forces.” 

Nawaz, on the occasion, thanked the Almighty Allah for granting victory to Pakistan over India. In the end, Senator Siddiqui presented to the PML-N president a report on the parliamentary party’s performance.
