PML-N lawmaker rushed to hospital after gym accident leaves her bleeding

Uzma Kardar, a Member of the Punjab Assembly belonging to the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), was injured after a heavy gym rod struck her on the head during a workout session.

According to Uzma Kardar, the incident occurred while she was exercising at Gymkhana Club, where she regularly goes for fitness training. She said the accident happened during a weight-training session when she was unable to properly secure the rod.

Speaking after the incident, the lawmaker said that her trainer is usually present during workouts and carefully manages such equipment. However, due to the trainer’s absence on the day of the incident, she could not place the safety pin correctly, causing the rod to hit her head.

Kardar sustained a head injury and was immediately provided first aid at a private hospital. She said doctors managed to stop the bleeding and applied a dressing to the wound.

After receiving initial medical treatment, she left for Services Hospital for further treatment and stitches.

Despite the frightening accident, sources said the PML-N MPA remained conscious and stable after the injury.
