The Islamabad High Court (IHC) will hear the petition to disqualify former premier Imran Khan for not disclosing his alleged daughter Tyrian in the nomination papers on Monday, Nov 21.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the IHC Chief Justice Amir Farooq on Thursday heard the petition of a citizen Muhammad Sajid against Imran Khan and adjourn it till Monday as both the petitioner and the council did not appear before the court to pursue the case.
On Thursday, a single bench of the IHC adjourned the hearing of the petition for some time due to the absence of both the petitioner and the counsel in the court.
After the break, the bench resumed the hearing and adjourned it till Monday.
The petitioner has taken a position in the court that Imran Khan did not mention his daughter in the nomination papers and hide the information.
The petitioner has requested the court to disqualify Imran Khan as a Member of the National Assembly for lying in the nomination papers under Article 62(1) F of the Constitution of Pakistan.
