Thirteenth round of Pak-Iran political consultations held in Islamabad

The thirteenth round of Pakistan-Iran political consultations was held in Islamabad, bringing together senior officials from both countries to discuss bilateral and regional issues, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

The two countries agreed to enhance cooperation in trade, energy, transportation, education, and people-to-people exchanges.

 The Pakistani delegation was led by Foreign Secretary Amina Baloch, while the Iranian side was headed by Deputy Minister for Political Affairs Majid Takht-e-Ravanchi.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed progress on the decisions taken in the previous round of consultations and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral ties. They also held an in-depth exchange of views on regional and global developments.

Both Pakistan and Iran emphasized the importance of institutional mechanisms such as the Joint Economic Commission and Joint Trade Committee for advancing cooperation. The two sides also reiterated their resolve to continue collaboration at multilateral forums and maintain a strong and constructive dialogue.

It was mutually agreed that the next round of political consultations will be held in Tehran on dates to be finalized through diplomatic channels.
