Two Sri Lankan players withdraw from T20I tri-series due to illness

Two players from the Sri Lankan cricket team will not participate in the T20I tri-nation series starting in Pakistan tomorrow due to illness.

According to the Sri Lanka Cricket Board (SLC), team captain Charith Asalanka and fast bowler Asitha Fernando will be leaving the squad for their home.

Both players will miss the tri-series involving Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Zimbabwe.

The SLC confirmed that Dasun Shanaka will lead the Sri Lankan team in the absence of Asalanka.

The tri-nation series is scheduled to begin tomorrow at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, with the opening match set to be played between Pakistan and Zimbabwe.
