During the Monday session, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan's victory in the by-election was also echoed and treasury members declared it a referendum in three provinces.

The Punjab Assembly session started 2 hours and 16 minutes late under the chairmanship of Deputy Speaker Wasiq Qayyum Abbasi.

In the House, the treasury members strongly reacted to the statement of the American president and Punjab Minister Ali Afzal Sahi presented a condemnation resolution in the House.

In the resolution, it is stated that the statement of the US President is an attack on the freedom and values of Pakistan.
