5.6 magnitude earthquake hits Islamabad, Haripur, Swat region 

A 5.6 magnitude earthquake struck, Swat, Mingora, Haripur and Rawalpindi region Thursday evening, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the earthquake’s epicenter was located in the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan, with a depth of 120 kilometers below the surface.

The tremors were felt in Swat, Mingora, Haripur and adjoining areas, causing people to rush out of their homes and offices in panic. 

However, no casualties or property damage were reported immediately after the quake.
