Police officer gunned down in Balochistan's Kharan

A police officer was martyred in a firing incident in Balochistan's Kharan area on Friday.

The station house officer (SHO) of Kharan Police Station was martyred in firing by unidentified people.

SHO Kharan Muhammad Qasim Baloch was targeted near DHQ Hospital on Quetta Road when he and other officials were searching vehicles at a checkpoint.

However, other police officials remained safe in the incident.

A shutter-down strike has been announced in Kharan city on Saturday against the killing of the SHO.
