FIA Lahore arrests suspect in hawala hundi operation, recovers Rs1.3m

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Lahore Zone has launched a major operation against individuals involved in hawala hundi and illegal currency exchange on the instructions of the FIA Director General.

According to FIA officials, the Corporate Crime Circle Lahore arrested an accused, Zubair Saleem, from Shah Alam Market. The suspect was allegedly involved in hawala hundi transactions.

During the raid, more than Rs1.3 million in cash was recovered, along with mobile phones and other evidence linked to illegal money transfers.

The FIA said an investigation has been initiated, while raids are being carried out to trace and arrest the accomplices of the accused.
