Fire erupts in Mansehra’s Landa Bazaar, dozens of shops burn

A sudden fire erupted in Landa Bazaar, Mansehra, gutting several cloth shops within minutes, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday.

Eyewitnesses reported that the flames spread rapidly, engulfing multiple shops before firefighters arrived. Locals complained that the late arrival of Rescue 1122 teams allowed the blaze to grow, causing heavy losses to traders.

Despite the efforts of three fire tenders, the fire continued to rage for more than two hours and had not been completely brought under control by the time of reporting.

Shopkeepers watched helplessly as years of investment turned to ashes, with many calling for an inquiry into the delayed response of the rescue services.
