Pak-Iran vow to boost defense and economic cooperation
The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mr Reza Amiri Moghadam, called on Federal Minister for Defence Production, Mohammad Raza Hayat Haraj, in Rawalpindi Wednesday.
During the meeting, both sides discussed matters of mutual interest, with a particular focus on cooperation in the field of defence production.
Minister Haraj underscored that Pakistan attaches great importance to its brotherly relations with Iran, describing it as a close friend and neighbour.
“The two countries enjoy cordial ties that are growing stronger with every passing moment. The Government of Pakistan, especially the Ministry of Defence Production, is committed to further strengthening these relations,” he said.
The Iranian envoy also highlighted Tehran’s desire to expand ties with Islamabad.
“Iran is keen to further enhance relations with Pakistan and intends to broaden economic as well as regional cooperation,” Mr. Moghadam noted.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to advancing collaboration in defence and economic sectors to further consolidate bilateral relations.
