PTI Azad Kashmir announces support for Awami Action Committee, strike on September 29

A high-level meeting of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Azad Kashmir, chaired by party president Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi, concluded with key decisions on political strategy and public mobilisation, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Wednesday.

According to sources, the party resolved to support the demands of the Awami Action Committee and announced its backing for the planned strike and protest scheduled for September 29.

A special committee has also been formed to deliberate on matters relating to migrant seats and other constitutional issues. The meeting, which saw full participation of assembly members, governing body representatives, and divisional and district presidents, also included consultations on the release of PTI’s founder.

Detailed discussions were held on the party’s manifesto and strategy ahead of the upcoming general elections, insiders added.
