Cop martyred as police foil bid to smuggle betel nuts in Karachi

Police on Saturday foiled a bid to smuggle betel nuts on Karachi’s Super Highway, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
However, during checking, the suspects rammed their car into one of the policemen, resulting in his martyrdom.
Later, the police arrested both the suspects named Agha Jan and Naseem and shifted them to Super Highway police station.
On the other hand, City 21 has managed to find out that the vehicle, bearing registration number BH-7250, has been registered in the name of a man named Nooruddin.
Body of the cop, who was identified as 36-year-old Abdul Manan, was shifted to a hospital.
