Lahore Qalandars thrash Rawalpindiz by 32 runs in PSL encounter

Lahore Qalandars defeated Rawalpindiz by 32 runs in the 27th match of the Pakistan Super League season 11, at the National Stadium, Karachi, on Saturday.

Batting first, Lahore Qalandars posted a competitive total of 210 runs, powered by a commanding opening partnership.

Lahore’s innings was anchored by opener Fakhar Zaman, who struck a fluent 84 off 54 deliveries, while Muhammad Farooq contributed a solid 63 off 41 balls.

The pair put together a commanding 121-run opening partnership, laying the foundation for a strong total.

Rawalpindiz's bowlers struggled to contain the flow of runs, though Mohammad Amir and Razaullah picked up two wickets each to provide some resistance.

In response, Rawalpindi could only manage 178 runs in their chase despite fighting contributions from Yasir Khan, who scored 58, and Saad Masood, who made 55.

Lahore’s bowling attack proved decisive, with Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, and Usama Mir taking two wickets each to dismantle the opposition batting lineup.

For Rawalpindi, it was another disappointing outing as they suffered their seventh consecutive defeat in the tournament, while Lahore Qalandars registered their third victory of the season.
 
 Earlier, Lahore Qalandars won the toss and elected to bat first. 

Lahore Qalandars entered the contest with two wins from six matches, looking to improve their standing in the tournament.

In contrast, Rawalpindiz have struggled throughout the campaign, losing all six of their matches so far.
