Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Mian Javed Latif said on Thursday that Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leader Shehbaz Gill, who was currently in Islamabad police custody for interrogation in connection with his anti-Pakistan Army statement, had all the secrets of what he called former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s anti-state activities, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, he said, “He, Gill, knows to whom Imran had leaked the state secrets.”

“Hang us if you can. But please do ask from this man as to who was behind his ‘mutinous’ statement which he had made during a talk show on a private TV channel,” he implored, and added, “PML-N wants to see the ‘impartiality’ of the country’s establishment. Let the institutions conduct a fair inquiry into the matter.”

He went on to add that Imran had no choice but to tell Gill, who is also his close friend, to keep his mouth shut and not to utter a word against him in front of the interrogators.

He was of the view that until and unless former prime minister and the PML-N supremo returned home, the party could not perform.

Showing his frustration over the PTI chairman’s popularity, Javed said he was at a loss to understand as to how people tolerated this man. “I was booked in a treason case and thrown into a jail. But I did not raise any hue and cry,” he said.

He asked was it not PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry who had said that army generals and judges decided the country’s fate behind closed doors.
