The Torture and Custodial Death (Prevention and Punishment) Bill 2022 has been tabled in the Senate from the coalition government on Thursday. 

According to the 24News HD TV channel, the bill was moved by Federal State Minister for Law Malik Shahadat Awan in the upper house.

Senate Chairman Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani presiding over the Thursday session referred the Bill to the standing committee to review it.
