Following the commitment of the ruling party, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) President Mian Nawaz Sharif to the masses, the Punjab government has declared a relief of Rs14 per unit on electricity bills for August and September, but only for consumers using between 201 and 500 units.

According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, this relief will range from a minimum of Rs2,814 to a maximum of Rs7,000 for eligible consumers with higher usage.

Those using between 201 and 500 units will benefit from this relief from the Punjab government, while consumers using up to 200 units will not be eligible.

The relief, calculated at Rs14 per unit, including taxes, will be reflected in the electricity bills for August and September.

The Punjab government will give relief of Rs14 per unit in electricity bills for two months only to the consumers who will use 201 to 500 units.

Two days ago, the president of the ruling party, PML-N Nawaz Sharif addressing a press conference in Lahore with Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz announced that, keeping in view the troubles of the poor people regarding their inflated power bills, the Punjab government has decided to bring Rs14 per unit relief in the bills of power consumers below 500 units.
