Private Hajj operators write a letter to minister of religious affairs

As the case of 26,000 Pakistanis who missed Hajj 2025 still remains unsolved, private Hajj operators have written a letter to the minister of religious affairs.

In the letter released to the media on Monday, private Hajj operators said they were ready to refund money to the applicants who could not perform Hajj this year. They said that no deduction would be made from the applicants' money.

Explaining the process, they said that an applicant would have to submit a written application for refund along with a copy of his/her identity card, passport and bank slip. A confirmation letter would be issued within three days and the money would be returned within 7-10 days.

The tour operators said in the letter that applicants' money would be returned through demand draft and cross check. They said that many applicants have already been refunded.

Tour operators said that bookings of the people who missed the Hajj 2025 had been shifted to 2026 and funds of these applicants were safe in Masar e-wallet Saudi Arabia. They said that no steps should be taken to return or cancel funds. They conveyed to the minister of religious affairs that cancellation of funds will cause delays and obstacles in Hajj preparations. It is important to keep Saudi Arabia's timeline in mind, they added.
