Barrister Gohar welcomes SC verdict, urges political dialogue

PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan on Tuesday welcomed the Supreme Court’s decision, saying the verdict should have come earlier and calling for an end to political differences through dialogue, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Speaking to the media in Islamabad, Gohar said, “Alhamdulillah, a good decision has come. We should all thank Allah for it. This should have come earlier.”

He said the provision of proper medical treatment to PTI founder Imran Khan had been a longstanding demand of the party. “I assure everyone that the Supreme Court’s decision will be implemented,” he said 

Gohar appealed to PTI workers and supporters not to gather outside Shifa Hospital because we cannot afford any negligence in Imran Khan’s treatment.

He further urged the powerful quarters to end the “cat-and-mouse game”, saying Imran Khan could neither be sidelined through such tactics nor did his party want to sideline anyone.

Gohar reassured “We will not politicize the founder’s health. His health is our top priority,” 

Gohar also called for moving towards dialogue and ending political differences, saying that the health-related matters of Bushra Bibi should also be dealt with in the same manner.

He expressed hope that such steps would help improve the political situation and overall conditions in the country.
